What coulp happen with the Brexit now? What could happen to the UK and the E.U.?
Neither Theresa May nor Michel Barnier appear to know where we are going. At this time, there are three clear options :
1) a “no deal” Brexit
2) the withdrawal deal already negogiated
3) no Brexit
The MPs rejected the two first possibilities. Will they put an end to the Brexit process? Everything is possible. Very logical reasons will explain the option that will be chosen.
Is it important if there is a delay at the customs to get in the UK? Is it a problem if the British car industry will have to adapt its practices to a new context? Is the Brexit intended to develop the UK economy?
Some say that the point is to allow the UK to recover its freedom. To follow its own rules, to stand by its laws.
And why is it that the UK joined the UE in the first place? How come that the British citizens made that choice? Was it to become well off? Was it to be protected as a member of a big group? Or was it to be united to the community whatever the disagreements? Such a step cannot be a rational decision.
At a moment, you need to share a project. A vision of where you are heading with the others. A goal that wipes out all the rest.
The wish to preserve our economies and protect our borders expresses fear. I see no future, there. No hope. There was a time when the UE intended to create a peaceful environment. That’s done.
What is the UE project, nowadays ? Isn’t that the question the Brexit raises?
As a European citizen, I am impacted by the Brexit the UK citizens chose. How could they decide on their own to leave us, without asking us if we agreed with that?
We are guilty of their choice. The Brexit would not have been imagined if there was still a european project that could gather all the people to overcome our difficulties.
A project led and run by the UE. Everybody being part of the team.
